About Parkshore Marina
Parkshore Marina is a 180+ slip marina on the SW corner of Lake Washington, in Seattle, WA. Slips range in size from 26' to 50', with some of the larger slips being covered, on 2 docks. Each slip has a power drop, a water faucet (City of Seattle water) and TV & phone cable is available to each slip (for an additional charge). Parkshore Marina is an HOA, with each slip being owned by someone (some own several). There are 4+ acres of water and there are 5 docks (A thru E). It is a gated facility, with a large Marina Building, which houses a 4'X4' storage locker for each slip, a meeting room, a manager's office and apartment, along with laundry facilities and complete restrooms (including several showers, in each).
There is an uplands area, called Dry Storage where trailers and boats on trailers can be stored. Tenants (non-owners) can be accommodated here, by the Association and tenants can lease slips from individual slip owners, if they choose to lease out one of their slips (especially if they have several). While the Association does allow owners to live aboard their boats, no new tenant live-aboards are any longer accommodated.
There is a pump-out facility on-site (actually a pumping station and a portable and we have the State sponsored pump-out boat for Lake Washington in one of our slips, making "free" pump-outs available, upon request (although tipping is appreciated).
Association dues are nominal, compared to other marinas, of a similar size - ranging from $220 to $550/quarter, depending on the size of the slip owned. The Association has over $500,000 in reserves, making it a fairly secure HOA. The Association is managed by a 5 Director (volunteer) Board (staggered 2 year terms) who meet monthly and oversee the operations. Staff includes a Manager, a contract bookkeeper and a maintenance/dock hand. The Manager & dock hand live on-site.
The Marina has 17 cameras in operation, which includes some that can be rotated and zoomed.
